Disney+ and Hulu have ordered a new Glee series from 20th Television, reviving the musical comedy more than a decade after its original run ended. The order follows Ryan Murphy’s disclosure that he had written a revival script with original cocreators Brad Falchuk and Ian Brennan, TheWrap reports.

The confirmed news is the series order, not a fully announced reunion. ABC News reported on October 21 that Disney had announced the new season without a cast list or release date. Murphy’s conversations with former cast members do not establish who will appear, and showrunning responsibilities have not been announced.

The streaming homes are official. Whether the revival reunites familiar performers, introduces a new generation or combines both remains to be disclosed.
