GODZILLA MINUS ZERO Opens Across North America Today

Director Takashi Yamazaki returns with a direct sequel to his Oscar-winning monster movie, expanding into standard and premium theaters today.

Godzilla returns to North American theaters today, three years after GODZILLA MINUS ONE revitalized the Japanese monster franchise.

GODZILLA MINUS ZERO opens widely November 6 through GKIDS and Toho, following special IMAX screenings on November 3.

Takashi Yamazaki returns as director, screenwriter and visual effects supervisor.

The sequel takes place in 1949, two years after the events of the previous film, as Japan struggles to rebuild and faces another extraordinary threat.

Ryunosuke Kamiki and Minami Hamabe reprise their roles from GODZILLA MINUS ONE.

The new production also marks an important technical milestone: it is the first Japanese film produced using IMAX’s Filmed For IMAX program.

Audiences can choose between standard theatrical screenings and participating premium-format locations.

For those hoping to watch at home, no confirmed digital purchase, rental or subscription streaming date has been announced.

The official GODZILLA MINUS ZERO film page provides the trailer and ticket information.
