HBO Renews Sharon Horgan Comedy YOUTH for Season 2

The broadcaster has ordered a second season of the original comedy following its first-season run.

HBO has renewed YOUTH, Sharon Horgan’s original comedy, for a second season. Warner Bros. Discovery announced the decision on November 2, confirming that the series will continue beyond its first run.

Horgan created, writes, stars in and executive produces the show. Its story centers on a divorced woman in her fifties navigating family responsibilities, relationships and the difficulty of reshaping adult life.

Continuing a Creative Partnership

HBO’s commitment to another season follows a first-look agreement with Horgan and her production company Merman. That relationship gives the network a continuing collaboration with a distinctive writer and performer rather than a new franchise adaptation.

HBO has described the show as one of its strongest recent international comedy launches, although such rankings are company-reported and may not provide a complete picture of viewership.

Season 2 has no announced premiere date, episode count or detailed returning cast list. The renewal confirms HBO intends to continue the story, but scheduling and production details remain to be established.
