Dead Like Me
Life for her was boring. Death is anything but.
When her life comes to an abrupt end, George discovers that death is nothing like she thought it would be. Recruited to collect the souls of others as they die, she suddenly finds herself an unwilling participant in a line of work she never knew existed: Grim Reaping!
Dead Like Me starts with the untimely death of a young woman via a pretty ridiculous twist of fate. She is quickly informed that not only is she stuck on earth, but she must now also report for her new job as a grim reaper. Slightly dark, but not too creepy, it's a quick watch with only a couple seasons. Plus, who doesn't love Mandy Patinkin? (The movie misses the mark pretty hard, though, so we'll skip that for now.)
