After getting a flat tire in the middle of nowhere, newly engaged couple Brad and Janet encounter the eerie mansion of the flamboyant, seductive Dr Frank-N-Furter and a variety of eccentric characters. Through elaborate dance and rock music, the mad scientist unveils his latest creation: a perfect, muscular man.
We struggled between "eh" and "pretty good" for RHPS because it is definitely not for everyone. Though it is known as a cult classic amongst theater kids, it's not exactly a movie you're going to watch on repeat. The best way to see this movie is by going to a performance of it in the fall; actors reenact while the movie plays and there are props for the audience to get involved. But, if you're feeling adventurous and don't want to see it live, buckle up at home and get ready for one of the strangest plots ever set to music. (Definitely not a family night movie.)
