Paramount+ Names Damla Dogan Head of Unscripted Programming
The former Netflix executive assumes a key streaming-content role amid the company's broader restructuring.
Paramount+ is giving its unscripted programming a dedicated leader as the streaming company’s management continues to evolve.
According to entertainment-industry reporting published October 30, Damla Dogan has been named head of unscripted programming at Paramount+. She previously worked at Netflix for six years and has reportedly been consulting with Paramount+ for approximately nine months.
Dogan will report to Sarah Aubrey, who has recently taken responsibility for Paramount+, Max Originals and international programming within the combined entertainment organization.
The appointment comes as the larger Skydance-led television and streaming operation works through its management structure following the merger. An executive appointment is not itself a new series order, and no specific unscripted project was announced as part of the news. Still, it says something about how the streaming business is being organized.

Reality and other unscripted series can provide recognizable formats and recurring viewing at a different cost structure from major scripted productions.
Giving those programs dedicated leadership could shape Paramount+’s next wave of originals. The question for viewers is which ideas eventually make it onto the service.
Until new programs are commissioned or announced, that remains a strategy to watch rather than a promise about the schedule.
