The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring
One ring to rule them all.
Young hobbit Frodo Baggins, after inheriting a mysterious ring from his uncle Bilbo, must leave his home in order to keep it from falling into the hands of its evil creator. Along the way, a fellowship is formed to protect the ringbearer and make sure that the ring arrives at its final destination: Mt. Doom, the only place where it can be destroyed.
If you haven't seen this yet and you're over 30, you're probably never going to at this point. Still, this is the definition of "stuck-to-the-source-material" moviemaking. Anyone who has ever read the legendary Tolkien books knows that this adaptation is devoted to bringing that world to life as it was written. Follow Frodo and Sam on a journey to destroy the one ring. This is Game of Thrones without all the sex, and more little people. Solid watch. PRETTY GOOD.
Directed by Peter Jackson
Starring Elijah Wood, Ian McKellen, Viggo Mortensen, Sean Astin, Ian Holm
